Caeciliana-Zeugma was a fortified Roman settlement positioned on the Euphrates River in what is now southeastern Türkiye. The site served as a military and commercial hub along Rome's eastern frontier, controlling river traffic and facilitating trade between the Mediterranean and Mesopotamia.
