Elaia (also spelled Elæa) was the harbour city and maritime gateway of ancient Pergamum, situated on the Aegean coast approximately 25 kilometres southwest of the inland acropolis. Founded as a dependency of the Pergamene Kingdom during the Hellenistic period, it served as the primary commercial and naval port for one of Asia Minor's most influential centres of power.
