The Roman Walls of Lugo are a fortress ring in northwestern Spain that represent one of Europe's most intact examples of late Roman military architecture. Constructed between 260 and 280 AD to encircle the prosperous settlement of Lucus Augusti, the walls have continuously protected the old town for nearly 1,900 years with minimal substantial alteration.
